Here is my tz5a story...
I did my "homework" for almost three months before moving forward to buy the TZ5A. I had thought about purchasing the TZ3 for $269.95, but the day I was going to buy it,I discovered that Panasonic was preparing to introduce the lumix tz5a.
So, I decided to bide my time, and find all the information I could gather about the features of the new TZ5A. After a short while, reviews began showing up online. I discovered a sizable difference between the newly introduced camera and the TZ3. Consequently, for me it was a "no brainer, and I bought the new camera.
I am exceptionally happy with the functions of the camera. My intentions were to find a petite point and shoot camera for my daughter. It also neede to have big zoom for your's truly. The standard compact digital cameras have about a 4x zoom. The panasonic tz5ahas a GIANT 10x zoom, which satisfies my wants. The camera remains quite compact, so my daughter can easily handle it. The Ai settings make it a simple camera to operate. This is important, as my daughter is sort of technically challenged. I am also thrilled with the quality of the pictures produced by the camera. I was sort of delayed in using the camera, as I had to study the instructions book, and fixing the camera's settings. I am glad I did, because I immediately started getting great shots!
